The City of Morgan City would like to encourage all those participating in the Halloween tradition of "trick-or-treating" do so between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

The City of Morgan City still has many street lights that are not functioning and mosquitoes continue to be a problem since hurricane Gustav.

Since the public health and safety of our citizens is our number one priority, the Police Department will maintain extra patrols during those hours on the evening of October 31, 2008.
